It makesa click every single time the right pedal goes over the top and comes tobe under weight again. It’s absolutely unambiguously loose on one side.If this was my summer road bike, I would replace the bottom bracket todaywithout hesitation. But instead, I’m going to ride this sucker until itactually becomes problematic. Still hoping to get 5000 miles or 5-10winters (probably about 600 miles a year on my winter bike).

Brutally straightened the rear drop out with anadjustable wrench, and it doesn’t eat axles anymore. I spent half an hour working WD40 into the rearderailleur and found to my surprise that it works flawlessly even afterall these years of being grimed solid. It’snot in great shape either — its bottom bracket is even loose — but itrides a lot more easily than the Huffy so I may not go back. The end of the Superia came when things were starting to (literally) fall apart.
In mid-1968, Huffman released the Flaming Stack chain guard, which was designed to look like the distinctive side exhaust pipe covers on the Corvette sports car. Later that same year, Huffman released a new Slingshot model with 16″ front dragster wheel, and 20″ rear. The new 1969 models where the last year for the three-bar Rail frame style. In 1970, Huffman deleted their three-bar frame and went to a two-bar Rail frame, eventually adding additional huffy highland mountain bike two-tone fade paint jobs along with Persons striped seats. In 1966, Huffman introduced a new long-wheelbase bicycle frame called the Rail. The new frame was approximately 4″ to 5″ longer than previous models.
