Share your builds, photos, stories, memories and questions. I will share the link with Arnold Kamler and Jeff Roesch at Kent who are interested to see any survivors or rebuilds. And for nostalgic reasons, a Kent was on my build to-do list. While researching a possible Kent purchase, I could find very little-if any- information online regarding the 80’s Kent BMX line. So I reached out to Kent and to my surprise I was answered by Kent CEO, Arnold Kamler.

They sent me the below catalog portions and were more than helpful with my many questions. When my first bike popped a weld, I received a hand me down from my older cousin – a 1984 Kent Ambush. Even though already well used, the Ambush got me through quite a few great years. Witness the road to greatness with the inspirational true story of Claressa Shields, arguably the greatest female boxer of all time. The U.S. and the world will not lose democracy if people stop playing football.
Anyone under 160 lbs will LOVE this bike—my wife (5’7 and 130 lbs) is one of those people who is a perfect fit for this e-bike. With a few upgrades, you can confidently ride almost any terrain and the pedal assist adds just enough boost to get you up the annoyingly difficult uphills without making you feel like you’re riding an overpowered dirt bike. For our third eMTB trip, I chose a 16-mile gravel forest service road in nearby Helen, Georgia. The first half was mainly uphill and the bikes performed magnificently. The last 7 miles turned into an obscure, unmaintained dirt/gravel downhill road covered in sticks, pinecones, sharp rocks, and other precarious tire-popping rubbish (along with a wild turkey I almost ran over). Somehow, we made it the whole 16 miles without a flat and with our brains intact.
